節足動物門　甲殻綱　ウチワエビ科

13090 ウチワエビ (Uchiwaebi) Ibacus ciliatus

　「うちわ」とか「しゃこえび」とか果ては「ぱっちん」等色んな呼ばれ方をする。喰ったことがないので、どんな味がするのか分からない。県南でよく見かけます。
　ウチワエビ科には他にセミエビやゾウリエビなどがありどれも似たような形をしてますが、これが一番丸っこく「ウチワ状」といえるでしょう。

A name of this lobster is "Uchiwa ebi". "Uchiwa" means flat fan and "ebi" means lobster. So, the shape of this lobster looks like a flat fan.
I don't know taste of it, because I didn't have it. (Photoed at Nagasaki-shi , Oct. 16 '97)
