軟体動物門　双殻綱　ハボウキガイ科

15590 タイラギ (Tairagi) Atrina (Servatrina) pectinata

　普通は貝柱（閉殻筋）しか食べません。似た貝にハボウキガイがありますが、タイラギに比べて細長い。海中ではほとんど海底に埋まっていて、潜水観察しても、ほんのちょっとしか見えない。味はくらいか。ほとんと刺身か寿司ネタ（？）かなぁ。
　産卵期は夏、生物学的最小形は殻長17〜19cm、成長は殻長が8カ月で10cm、2年で20cm、4年で26cm、5年で27cm、6年で29cm（'97年12月24日 大分）

In Japan, We eat the adductor muscle. "Haboukigai ( Pinna bicolor ) " looks like this. These live in sea bottom and We can't see it in diving. It is good for sushi neta or sashimi. (Photoed at Oita, Dec. 24 '97)
