脊椎動物門　硬骨魚綱　すずき目　ブダイ科

07280 ブダイ (budai) Leptoscarus japonicus

　大分じゃ「いがめ」とか呼ばれることがあるらしい。以前ある漁業者から「これ喰ったことある？」て出されたのがこの刺身、「冬場はいいんだ」と言ってくれた。しかし、随分前の話なので、味は残念ながら覚えていない。味は予想でをかな。
　雄と雌を比較すると雄は青っぽく、雌は赤っぽい。典型的な草食魚です。大きさは60cm位か。

Someone call the fish "Igame" in Oita. A fisher give me sashimi of it. He said "The sashimi is delicious in Winter". I forgot the taste of it, because It was too happening. I expect that it was rather delicious.
Male is pale body, and female is reddish. It's typical herbivore. Total length is about 60cm. (June 9 '97 Photoed at Oita)
