Karate
My first love after meeting Martial Arts through Judo. I started
with a disciple of Kase sensei in Brittany, and after 4 years
of practice went to London to further my training with Enoeda
sensei and his assistant Ohta sensei. I also trained there under
the watching eye of Kawazoe sensei. After 5 years spent in England
I came to Japan and became a "uchi deshi" or resident
disciple at Seishinkan Karate dojo in Kasuga, Fukuoka in the southern
island of Kyushu. I trained in severe conditions 3 times a day
6 days a week, with competitions often on the sunday although
I am not keen on tournaments. My teacher's son Yuji Hashiguchi
is of international level, a several times Katas all Japan champion
and a world champion at the Paris world tournament Shoto Cup in
1998. I practise a traditional Karate for personal progression
and preservation.
