  8th Concert at Firefly Valley                (22 May,  ‘03)

 We’re going to hold a concert along our Matumoto River, where fireflies swarm with their soft lights on and off.  We invite you to enjoy music as well as admire nature’s wonder.

  Date  :  May 31 (Sat.)              [June 6 in case of rain]

  Place :  Okariya (sacred dance hall) of Matumoto Hachiman Shrine, 　　　　　　Matumoto, Ajimu Town

1st part

 19:00  Live acoustic by a guitarist Youzou Himeno (from Yamaga Town) and a violinist Koji Miake (from Sankou Village)

 19:30  String Quartet by Oita Arts and Cultural College students

2nd part

 20:20  Chopin’s piano pieces by a pianist Yoshihiro Yamaguchi (from Buzen City) with Koji Miake

 20:50  Soprano recital by Yuko Akamine (from Yufuin Town) accompanied with a piano by Yamaguchi

Finale

 21:15  Violin solo

 An improvised market will be opened at Nankou-ji at 17:00.  You can get fresh products of our Imoridani, such as vegetables, country-style buns, bread and the like.
