Infection
After the " Beppu "
According to the information by questionnaire of the advertising office
of the Nishinippon Shimbun, Oita is the most popular place to make an
overnight trip for housewife in Fukuoka. Hot spring water like Beppu or Yufuin
may be good for them.
Mr. Ryoji Matsumura who have belonged to the COARA since he was
young is the salesman of the car around Beppu and Yufuin. He is good at
taking pictures and he often has a one man show. As the sightseeing Web
page of Beppu was great stimulus for him, he tried to show Yufuin, too.
There are Japanese rice cracker shop, curry restaurant, foreign-made
goods shop, local sake shop, and so on, in the neighborhood of the
Yu-no-Tsubo. Yu-no-Tsubo is the most popular path of Yufuin. He designed
a Web page to show such shops.
" I don't need a newspaper."
In the end of the each page, there is a lovely photo of the shop owner
and his wife. Mr.Matsumura shows that the source of the both the
Internet and sightseeing is people.
So, Mrs.Izumi Kuwano who is the land lady of the Tamano-Yu-Ryokan
tried to design a Web page. As Tamano-Yu-Ryokan is one of the representative
hotel in Yufuin, it have many visitors from foreign country, so she made
a guide in foreign language in her page. After that, she got many
response from many places. Off course, she gets reservations by the E-mail.
Well, if the foreign guest wants to read the newspaper in English, she used
to go to Oita by car to get it. But, these days if she answeres that she can connect
with the Internet, some of the guests say, "OK, I don't need the Newspaper."
A move of the U.S military camps to Hiju-dai.
While Mrs.Kuwano was using the Internet in these way, she began
to write the question and feeling as a local people and a mother about a
move of U.S. military camps to Hiju-dai in her Web page.
She got many E-mail about the problem from all over the world this
time, now she feels happy and encouraged that many people also feel so.
And, Mr. Matsumura designed a new Web page. He used a posthumous
works of Mr.Terao who is his former teacher in high school days. Mr.Terao
belonged to the COARA, and he has successively occupied various high
school principal, had many his student.
After he retired, he began personal computer communication. He made
a remark at the "The care of child" meeting room by his experiences of
a teacher and made a impression on the parents of younger generation.
Testimony of the atomic-bomb
About three years ago, Mr.Terao said "Though I didn't talk about this
so much still now, it will time to talk about this." He wrote his experience
of the atomic-bomb in Hiroshima.
We were surprised at his story. As the experience was too bitter for him
to remember, he had not talked even his wife so much. At that time, his story
was forwarded to all over the station of the personal computer communication,
and caused a great sensation.
Though the same Mr.Terao died this summer, Mr.Matsumura who
adore him got permission from Mrs.Terao and designed both Japanese
and English Web pages of the Mr.Terao's experience of the atomic-bomb
with the sensation in the COARA's electric meeting room.
Many E-mail gathered from all over the world by the Internet, so we
can have a chance to think about this problem now.
While the designing Web page is infecting one after another, the content
of the page evolve from the sightseeing to the expression activity of
personal emotion and idea. Now, the content itself also infects one
after another.
