Pooled press conference

　Triple identification and body check
　allowed me to enter the room.

　Many reporters from South Korean presses.
　
　The digital camera with telescopic lens attracted 
attention of a Korean reporter.
　　
　I took the seat in front of the microphones and waited for a while.
　I found several familiar faces in COARA.



　President Kim and Prime minister Hashimoto stood on the stage.

　What moved me first was that 
they were well dressed up and had perfectly polished sense of cleanness. 
　They looked quite wonderful.

　Prime minister Hashimoto wore a stylish 
white turtle neck sweater under the suit.　President Kim wore black and white 
checked shirt under the deep blue suit.

　This was the most impressive, indeed. They were really smart.
　
　I saw later the scene after on TV 
but unfortunately, the atmospher was quite different from the reality.
　
ゝhey are great because their real style are very excellent.




　The press conference now started.
　Reporters carefully asked questions.
　Prime minister Hashimoto said nothing has injured women's 
dignity more than the comfort women' issue and I expressed  our 
deep remorse and offered heartful apology.
　
　The very moment I heared the word, I couldn't 
but feel deep sadness and bitter sense.

　




　President Kim stated his country was now in a very hard situation concerning North Korean problem.  But he wanted to treat this problem under the close cooperation between South Korea, Japan, and the US. He also referred to the remarks of some Japanese politicians who  spoke out about the past fact of Korea. He regreted to hear such remarks hard to comprehend. He said we had to recognize what happened in the past and at the same time we had to overcome them in order to develop our future.

　President Kim, in front of me, is really excellent and wonderful person indeed. But he is also a human the same as me. we can share pain, sadness, hope, and sensitivity. This is what I felt through the close coverage that will be unforgettable forever to me. I have had very precious experience.







　Mr.Murakami reported the pooled press conference 
through video and photograph.
　
　Our secretariat Mr.Ono had been taking memo at the press desk. But when he was aware of pretty women reporters around him, he got uneasy as usual and eagerly snapshoted them until the conference got started.





　At the reception table of Suginoi hotel where the cnference was held, I accidentaly met Ms. Ie Hyonghi. She is in the same age as me. She had worked for three years in Oita prefecture as an international exchange member and is now working at a company in Oita. She often talked she loved Oita. It is really great to find a young lady like her who certainly becomes the bridge between Oita and South Korea.



　The video tape of the conference was directly handed to Mr.Tokumaru who rushes by bike to COARA studio in Soft park of Oita city. The film will be on air from now through the Internet.

　





　Identification flag was requested to attach on the bike. He run around the area demonstrating such big COARA flag.

　









　Finally.

A big fireworks was launched from 9:40p.m. to serve as a part of the dinner party. It was really marvelous. I heard President Kim was enjoyed the fireworks as well. Today must have been very fine day for citizens as well.
